About Us
Tikvah Doodles involves our whole family, myself (Julia), my sister (Lizzy) and my husband and children.
We moved to Cheshire over 10 years ago and found a wonderful home close to beautiful walks and bought our first red, medium F1 Goldendoodle 'Coco'.
Coco stole our hearts with her incredible intelligence, loving nature and zest for life. This began our love for Goldendoodles.
We then went on to add to our family the most gentle, calm and loving standard poodle that you could ever wish for; our beautiful Della. It is from these two lines that all our doodles are descended from, except for our Maltipoo Zaya.
We do not have kennels- all our dogs live in our house and when we do have a holiday one of us always stays to look after the dogs.
Goldendoodles/ Double Doodles are companion dogs and they adore their owners. They make exceptional family dogs as they are easy to train, gentle and biddable.
All our dogs are fully DNA tested for all the recommended tests for their combined breeds and all are completely CLEAR. Certificates are available to view. Our larger dogs are also hip and elbow scored with scores below the breed average and all elbows are 0:0.
Health is of paramount importance to us and from the very start we ensured that we found the very best stud dogs. We would not settle for anything other than excellent health-test results, loving and well-mannered natures as well as good looks! This would often mean travelling some 4+ hours for a mating!
Tikvah Doodle Puppies are raised in the heart of our house and are handled daily from birth. We introduce them lovingly to all the familiar household sounds and activities of a normal household and ensure that they meet a variety of people of different ages as well as our other dogs so that they are confident and well-adjusted.
Our puppies are treated for worms at the ages of 2, 5 and 8 weeks of age with Panacur Liquid 10% for three consecutive days according to their body-weight. They are microchipped and thoroughly vet-checked with the results given to the new owners. The puppies will also receive their first vaccination and advocate treatment before leaving for their new homes. We also provide 4 weeks free insurance through Petplan.
Our puppies are sold on a pet only sales-contract basis unless breeding rights are discussed and purchased. In our contract we stipulate that we do not allow our dogs to be neutered/spayed until a minimum age of 12 months as we feel that this is best for the development of the dog.
We provide care-notes for the new owners and a weeks worth of food. Our puppies are fed on Nutriment Raw Puppy Food and we have seen fantastic results using this food. We also have many helpful notes that we can provide on all aspects of raising your new family member!
We create Whatsapp groups for the new owners so that you can keep in touch with the owners of your puppies siblings and we like to set these up early so that there is one platform for everyone to see their puppies grow and develop, week by week.
My sister Lizzy and I are always available to give advice and support.
